Transport Dorchies has engaged in many activities in order to preserve the environment.
Indeed, the company has anticipated the international norms requirements to preserve the environment. Following green guidelines, it has organized and adapted its various tools and its work methods as follows: the company has a rainwater recovery system on site, uses various forms of energy savings, and conducts waste sorting, etc.

Additionally, since 2010, Transport Dorchies owns a vehicle fleet 100% Euro V, renewed to Euro VI. The fleet regularly undergoes a large number of mechanical checks. The vehicles are also equipped with Michelin Green Energy Saver tires, which advantage is to have a longer lifetime, and reduce the gas consumption of the vehicles. The truck drivers also conduct a training in economic and rational driving.

The company, located close by the multimodal plaoorm of Dourges, has invested in refrigerated boxes, for the combined transport rail/road.
Thus, it offers a complementary mode of transport that is ecologic on the axe Dourges‐Avignon.
This dedication for the environment has been essential to the company for many years and has concretized in 2014 with the signature of the Charter of Engagement,
which goal is to reduce CO2 emissions on a voluntary basis. This charter is also known as “Ademe Objective CO2”.
